Incubators
The State of Punjab has 29 Incubators & Accelerators. The first infrastructure facility for supporting entrepreneurship in academic setup in the state came up in 1986 in the form of Science Technology & Entrepreneurship Park at GNDEC-Ludhiana with support of Department of Science and Technology (DST), GOI. In the next two decades till 2015, 5 more such facilities got established. Out of the total 29 Incubators and Accelerators developed, 75% came up in the last 6 years. The last few years have witnessed exponential increase in number of incubation facilities, which are shaping incubation landscape of Punjab.
